Ed Irmen sprang from the gut of Detroit, throwing paint and covering everything he touches with color, birds and texture.

Inspired at a young age from comics, cartoons and his grandfather’s prints of cranes; Ed began to explore himself in the guise of making art and painting. His work focuses on the figure and abstraction of flora and fauna paired with vibrant color and textured pattern.

Graduating from College for Creative Studies in 2016 with BFA in Illustration, Ed has since moved on to painting murals and spreading his visual library to walls across the midwest.
