Giovanni Gulley formally known by art peers and the local community alike as Gio and  the  artist/ brand creator of " The Art Exhibit" LLC. Gio is a mixed median artist who style includes mostly but not limited to Pop art, neo expression, expression, street and satire art. Displaying wearable as well as hangable on array of different materials including leather, Denim, wood, cotton, suede, and canvas. 

Giovanni is a self taught artist who began participating in school art programs in which he was introduced to certain artist and art styles through video (documentary and interview). Through teaching he also learned basic concepts in shading, shadowing, color theory, and shapes. After graduating and some time spent at Ferris state, it wasn't until years later that he would attempt to turn that passion into in a full time career. In 2015 is when he began small murals and painting on clothing as a hobby that turned into a small side gig after people on the street noticed the handmade garmets he wore. In 2020 during the pandemic he was introduced and months after began partnering with a local art edition company called 1xrun. Under the professional leadership Giovanni began creating his own style using created characters and bright stand out color. 

That two year partnership would branch out to a local partnership with "Not Sorry Goods" boutique helping Giovanni reach the masses of local Detroit with custom handmade pieces. Giovanni currently and continues to explore new medians thru paints and fabrics.
