Clifton Perry
Detroit, MI
Clifton Perry wakes up creating. Every piece of art reflects his unique talent for finding beauty in everyday life. He sees art everywhere.
“If I wasn’t doing art as my career, I’d still be doing art,” Perry said. “It brings me joy.”
Although he has done art since he could first grab a pencil, the native Detroiter who goes by Mr. CliffNote first got inspired to do airbrushing thanks to a pair of overalls from a Bell Biv DeVoe video in 1991. He wanted them. His dad agreed to buy a pair, until he found out the price -- so Mr. CliffNote got his own airbrush set instead. He also continued to perfect his other artistic talents, including among others drawing, comics and painting.
